"Who's that knocking on my door ..."

Figuratively speaking, God knocks on our door numerous times, hoping we will answer this beckoning call. Of course, we do not recognize the Divine as the holy appearance may be disguised as someone entirely different. Given that spirit resides in all peoples, there is a wide array of costumes to adjust the sacred appearance.
There was a television program, "Touched by an Angel," that helped remind us how spirit was always amongst us. Spirit worked through others often catching us off guard. Perhaps the driving force behind this is treating all peoples with kindness. Who is knocking on our door (figuratively speaking)?
Expanding on this concept, we can hear Divine Presence in the song of a bird, the movement of a tree, or the wind blowing. Creative expression is also used as a language of the Divine. Spiritual insight is frequently linked into common conversations between friends. Open the doors of the mind and allow spirit entrance! Don't wake for a knock!
