"We are now entering the Autumnal Equinox time, when day and night are equal."
USA Today
There is so much we learn from nature. Such as the joy in the simple songs of birds, the babbling of brooks or crashing waves. We observe the sun slowly sink as the darkness glows with stars and the moon. There is rain for cleansing, and winter snow for solitude. There is hope as we watch the repeated cycle of new growth followed by decline.
Today is the Autumn Equinox offering a balance between day and night. There is speculation that nature is simply recalibrating its sequences. Associating daytime with activity and purpose and nighttime with stillness and speculation, we would do well by finding equal balance in our own lives.
Even as we view the four seasons, we find nature suggesting progression and regression. In spring there are new seeds awash with gentle rain, while summer pulses with the sun. Fall unfolds at a shedding pace while winter offers an ending with solitude and grace.
