Turning the Corner

"Writing became my escape, the corner where I could take refuge in and be at peace."
Chaker Khazaal

Whether we are a child or an adult, we may seek a corner to hide. We may simply close our eyes hoping to be invisible or extend great effort to build a wall blocking our little corner of the world. We may use this space to hide from intrusive projection or to secretly create without continuous interruption.

There may also be a time where we find ourselves loitering at a corner needing to determine which way to turn. The decision becomes difficult if we cannot see what is around the corner. We may choose to stay on one side where it is known and safe or push ourselves around the unknown corner for challenge and advenrure.

In addition, there is the corner of the mind where we may keep rubbish or treasure. If it is darkly filled with grief and sorrow, stagnation may be present. If it brilliantly nurtured by positive perceptions, magical creativity flares. Either corner impacts our forward movement. Time is approaching to turn the corner ... which way will you go?
