"Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think
we're supposed to be and embracing who we are."
Brene Brown
The woman was immediately noticed as she walked with great pomp and circumstance into the store. I could not help but wonder who this arrogant woman was walking like royalty! She had an air about her separating everyone far from her. I could not help but wonder how deeply her true nature must be cramped inside of her.
Maybe this originates with fear about our own identity. Then we begin to hide while projecting an image that we believe others will more readily accept. Our boundaries soften allowing a stampede of other people's opinion to override our own. Exceptional concentration is required to keep authenticity hidden in darkness.
Parading around in a false persona attracts people who we truly are not aligned with, so this increases our discomfort. This is quite a price to pay as it impacts our body, mind, and soul. What if we reclaimed all of this energy and reinvested in our original nature, finding kindred spirits who love and support us!
