Revelations

"The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today."
Franklin D. Roosevelt

Out of nowhere, a disturbing memory surfaces and our discomfort with the past may prompt us to shove the thought back down. But, what if the recollection is deliberately appearing so it can be addressed and released? Instead of avoidance, what if we slowed down and linked together what is resurfacing? What are these events trying to tell us?

When we choose to allow the incident from long ago to linger, we may be surprised when other events surface as well. At first, we may not see how one is relevant to the other, but as we become a quiet observer, the connections begin to take shape and form. Although unrelated, there is an underlying emotion linking repressed emotions.

We can question: how did it make me feel, how is it coloring events today, how are events related, and how can I safely release emotions? In respect for the self, one must take time to process. We can find revelations using creative outlets, being in nature or using a ritual. If we face hidden emotions today, our tomorrow will be a much brighter day!
