While making a presentation at a weekend retreat, I met a woman who embraced my heart. We had an immediate connection that we maintained for numerous years. She was a school teacher by trade, assisting not only the students, but entire families as well. She was a deep thinker with a highly contagious laugh. She left this earth a few years ago.
This 'sister of my heart' was so full of life, it is beyond comprehension to think of her as dead. As a life long Catholic driven with deep spirituality, she believed in an after life. This existence, when ended, would open into a portal. She believed in the return to God, rejoining with those she held dear. Her essesnce still lingers here.
Our society has grown in concepts of religious dogma. We have learned to side step intermediate translators and approach the Divine with open conversation. With such freedom in spiritual communication, one strengthens concepts about this life, and what will unfold next for us. We are eternal light, beacons shifting from one horizon to another.
