"As we practice stating our feelings and needs directly,
the need to manipulate falls away and we begin to feel our inherent power."
Shakti Gawain
When we do not value our lovely selves, we have a difficult time asking for things or expressing our feelings. If we do not feel worthy, we hide what we want behind cloaked statements. We try to manipulate a person or situation into making us happy when we have not made our intentions clear.
In time, we begin to hear our own voice and eventually we begin to project it. We are often met with rejection, but the power in using our words makes us stronger. Uttering our true thoughts can make us understand our personal value whether or not others respond.
As all things, using our voice is a process. First we must determine what is truly in our heart. Then we choose the words to frame the projection out into the world. We continue to move forward, revealing more of our inner strength until finally we are heard!
