Near Death Experiences

"I have a deeply hidden and inarticulate desire for something beyond the daily life."
Virginia Woolf

Nearly 40 years ago, I learned of a friend's mother who had a near death experience two years previously.  She had not told anyone as she feared her doctor's reaction and believed others would think she was suffering from a mental health irregularity. Although pronounced dead in her hospital bed, several minutes later she began breathing again.

This woman could accurately describe who had been standing by her bed, what they wore and what they had said. The doctor was astonished and had no explanation for what had happened. She made the decision to not give voice to the other realm she had visited while out of her body.

Today, near death experiences are much more prevalent with only one third of people reporting them. These reports are investigated and documented. Temporarily out of the body, a person visits scenarios where they are able to view his or her current life with reflections of the future. They are embraced by guides, spirits, or the Divine before their return.
