There are those who brightly shine their light, attracting others and offering safe space. These are the ones who frequently get their hearts hurt, but they learn to move on with the heart remaining open. Then there are those who live in the dark, cloistered with personal pain with leaning on others their only interaction.
Those shining light, expect goodness banding together, and hoping for life to be in harmony with others. Those hiding in the darkness, want to be like those in the light, but cannot run the risk of another disappointing outcome. They will lean in, but only just so far. Their rigid behavior regulates the projected negative outcome.
Both sides, the light and the dark, have opportunity to change. There are those who may tire of doing all of the lifting and enter darkness while others may grow curious enough to allow a beam of light to enter, perpetuating growth. Balance tends to be the key with respect for both participating equals.
