Hidden Scar ...

"A scar is what happens when the word is made flesh."
Leonard Cohen

People tend to hide their scars with extended antlers to detect incoming harm. We forget that to be human, there are lessons, and every person experiences wounds. It is unfortunate when we cling to the 'me against them' attitude rather than pooling group experiences. Accumulated information could heighten healing awareness.

We are better prepared when we see situations through the eyes of healing, not a stance of defense. If we keep ourselves limited with the intention of control, numerous experiences that increase forgiveness, and insight are overlooked. Trust is earned, but not everyone is out to get us!

The scars we hide can hinder us. Our stories are not meant for everyone's ears, but there needs to be a balance. We are all wounded in one way or another which impacts our presence. Our perceptions are colored by personal experience, and we can learn from each other. Differences can be linked rather than used for division.
