Skill Draws Attention

"You have the right to experiment with your life.
You will make mistakes. And they are right too."
Anais Nin

There was a friend who lived in a small town.  She kept to her self believing she would never amount to anything, as she believed she had nothing to offer.  She felt inferior as her education ended as a graduating senior from high school.

To pass time, she raised a few lambs, sheared them, spun the wool and then by hand made scarves, mittens, blankets, etc...  Eventually, she found herself wanting more so she acquired a loom and began to teach herself weaving which led to making rugs, table mats, and other items.  In time, her work drew attention from the cottage industry, and her sense of accomplishment flourished as she became recognized for her originality.

In spite of what the world implies, we are not all destined to be glorified celebrities.  There is much to be said for being comfortable in our own bodies and honing in on the skills with which we have been given.  It truly doesn't matter which path we choose, but it does matter that we take the first steps. If we falter, get kicked off a path, we simply begin again with new steps.
