Magdalene and Thistle Farms

Our journeys all start and end with God, and everything we do is a step toward our return to wholeness.  Because grace is our beginning, we are worthy of all good things.  We are God's children in flesh and spirit.  We never have to live in shame for all the things that have been done to us or that we have done to others.  The Women of Magdalene with Becca Stevens

In the sixth century at St. Benedict of Nursia, The Rule of Benedict was established.  For more than a thousand years these designed rules have served as a model for communal living.  The rules are rooted in fidelity, hospitality, reverence, and love for all of humanity.

Magdalene is a community of women located in Nashville, Tennessee.  Under the direction of Becca Stevens, women of violence, prostitution, and drug abuse have found a 'balanced way or life where the heart becomes broadened with the unutterable sweetness of love.'

The Women of Magdalene, in existence for over a decade, also work together at  Thistle Farms making their line of bath and body care.  Their products can be found at places such as Whole Foods and various shops in Nashville.  Imagine my surprise when I came across the lovely products at Simply Fair in Springfield, Illinois!

These loving and forgiving souls also authored a book with Becca Stevens entitled, FIND YOUR WAY HOME, Words from the Street, Wisdom from the Heart.  Pages are filled with personal feelings written by different women during their journey to recovery. This book can also be purchased at the shops selling Thistle Farms products.
