"The winter solstice teaches us to find peace in the quiet and
trust in the promise of light."
Clarissa Pinkola Estes
No matter how organized we are, Christmas can get complicated. From pop up visitors to delayed flights, there must be a flexibility to keep sanity in tow. On the other side of complications there are spontaneous moments of simplicity. When we catch glimpse of one in our peripheral, take advantage of it immediately!
These brief opportunities can be easily overlooked, so be mindful. If you find yourself humming a favorite Christmas Carol, turn on your favorite music source for background comfort. Then when feeling lonely, light a candle as its glow will offer you warmth in the stillness. Images oddly appear to trigger inner reflections.
The Winter Solstice gives us permission to pause and grasp the significance of this alignment between the sun and the moon. No matter what occurs, both follows a cycle providing light and dark. We must learn to master the movement between the light and the dark, having faith in our journeys with trust that all will come into alignment. Let the promise of light prevail.
