"Our minds accept as truth, the critical statements we tell ourselves,
but it can also accept our positive affirmations."
Madisyn Taylor
This particular post is accompanied by one of my favorite pictures. It is of an older man dressed in a suit with a hat, holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand and what looks to be like a red jewelry box in the other. His hair is quite long as well as his beard, and both are almost white. A guitar hangs from a strap looped around his neck while he stands by a small stream in a park. He is waiting.
It would be my assumption that he were quite nervous waiting for a special person. Although he appears to be relaxed, I cannot imagine him not being anxious within himself. More than likely, he is examining his intentions and motivations, wondering if he shouldn't just fade away.
At the same time, he could be flushing his mind with affirmations. He would be telling himself that he was worthy and that he wasn't too old for love to flourish. He might be filling his desires with hope, laughter and companionship. Definitely, he is waiting.
