Wasted Energy

"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow,
it empties today of its strength."
Corrie ten Boom
Clippings from My Notebook

We worry about our selves, family, and friends, even though worry is an emotion capable of causing our body harm.  When we worry, our system becomes acidic which can lead to an upset stomach, indigestion or heartburn.  If we worry hard and long enough, we can develop ulcers or other medical problems.

To worry is to distract our selves from facing life.  It is kin to fear.  Both worry and fear lead us down a path of angst with an overwhelming sense of not having control.  Worry does not assist in making a situation better nor does it add to a person's well being.  It is wasted energy.

Worry is a missed opportunity to  encourage, support or turn to the Divine.  These are positive actions capable of moving us into a more stable frame of mind. Negative worry is waste and positive action is strength. Thinking good thoughts and taking action of any kind can help us remain in the present  moment with power.
