Create A Pause

"Listening deeply to the signs, experiences, and relationships
in your life can reveal everything you need to see and know."
Lee Harris

As we struggle to find the right words for connection, incoming messages may not be heard. If our mind is racing to create savvy language, significant proclamations may simply bounce off of us. When we drop our focus from our mind to our heart, we begin to relate in a different demeanor.

Rather than recalling recent quotes or news headlines, listen to what the other person shares. Follow that lead, building upon his or her spoken words. Create a pause, resting in the heart to align with core feelings. Even in disagreement, we are called to speak our truth, and gently without provocation.

There are times we realize others are not seeing us in the matter we want to be seen. If this happens, we may want to explore just how we are projecting ourselves. When we align our behavior with our inner spirit, connecting all of our dots, people will gain insight into our soul. If not, it is time to move along. Be brave enough to walk into a new horizon.

Love Expansion

"The more you bring self-love into your own being,
the more you will see the mirror of love
everywhere you go."
Lee Harris

Self-love takes on many shapes with differing nuances having very little to do with being selfish.  To love ones self means caring for the body, mind, and soul with kindness, respect and honor.  It is recognizing that we are individual creations of Divine Spirit.

As humans, we are here to experience the physical world with reverence, awe and tenderness.  Every individual is unique and can be assisted by the spiritual self to rebirth and renew.  Intention is to nurture for furthering expansion.

We honor the self by healthy caretaking, exposing the mind to spiritually diverse insights, and showering others with awareness of his or her unique existence.  As our self-love expands, we generate greater reflection of love in ourselves and in others.

Pause Within Chaos

"I invite peace into my life today."
Lee Harris

As much as we avoid conflict, it truly can be pivotal to securing a sense of peace.  What we avoid does not create a healthy sense of calm as it is festers beneath the surface of our awareness.  Nor is it productive to become doused in an over bearing sense of isolation.

Situations are not always as simple as being bad or good.  The importance is within our method of dealing with annoyance.  How we handle disruption is key.  Do we mentally scream and shout or do we mindfully reframe?

Lee Harris suggests we use mantras such as, "I invite Peace into my life today" or "I invite Peace onto the planet today."  These words can initiate a gentle pause within our chaotic brains.  The moment of pause can redirect our thinking and actions.

Options Are Endless ...

"It's very important to know when it is time to step back from the old,
from engagement in order to get your balance back."
Lee Harris

The world is not the same, so our life time practices for support may need to be enhanced.  What once worked in temporary situations may have become squashed by increasing chaos and expectations.

Old routines may no longer reach the dynamics of now percolating schedules.  A quick meditation, a few yoga poses, and a daily dose of inspiration may no longer bring us the balance we so desperately need.  Our desire to reach out to others may also be depleting.

Drag a chair into the shade and take a personal inventory of what you now need. Maybe it is more deliberate conversation with a kindred spirit.  It could be a quick walk around the neighborhood with out iPods.  Buy some spring flowers to brighten personal space.  Rub a favorite lotion into tired feet.  The options are endless ...
