"But I've come to see that imagination is the soul's translation device."
Valerie Kashouty Sargent
As children growing up, we are laughed at for the imaginative stories we tell or the mysterious images we say we have seen. When we share information that is beyond our age, we may be ignored or discredited. Imagination, however, can enhance the quality of life and through visualization, generate ideals for peaceful living.
Native Americans for example, believe that dreams are not imagination, but a vital form of communication. This is why they have Sweat Lodges, and Vision Quests. In some tribes, children upon waking, join a circle to immediately share and understand nighttime visions. Dreams are deciphered to enhance the living experience.
What some classify as imagination, others find to be guidance and inspiration. Connections of a spiritual nature can be heightened through deciphering dreams rather than dismissing them. It is through the use of imagination that engages scientists, doctors, and artists to create formulas that change the quality of life.
