"You never find yourself until you face the truth."
Pearl Bailey
The truth of the matter is we have agreed to do something that is not in alignment with our true self. Maybe we don't want to hurt someone's feelings or fear making someone mad, and so we violate ourselves instead. We convince ourselves that we can make this sacrifice. minimizing the lack of respect for the self.
There is a need to embrace our truth whether we act upon it or not. There needs to be an awareness of what it is, how it feels, and how it alters our movement. How does our inner truth substantiate our presence? When personal truth is known, we may take pause prior to sharing or impacting others.
Especially when we are settled into a particular life pattern, just the thought of change can be overwhelming. If we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and manage to be open to experience, we move truth from being buried to consciousness. With slow entry, we bring our truth into our existence, honoring our body, mind, and soul.
