Selective Realities

"I'm just selective about the reality I accept."
Bill Watterson

Where we place our focus feeds our mind, body and soul. And it is not as though we can quickly change channels resulting in an immediate fix. Once we see, hear, or perceive information, it is immediately registered within us and often times buried, but still pulsing. Healing or reconditioning is a process.

As a baby, my son preferred carrots. I spooned this vegetable exclusively until I noticed his skin had an orange tinge ... what we eat impacts the body. I had an unpleasant experience with a dentist when in elementary school and throughout adulthood experienced panic approaching dental work ... repressed emotions can be impactful for years.

How we view and experience life is our reality, but not necessarily actuality. Our understanding is based upon our experiences, not specifically on proven fact. Even when we are proven wrong, we can be resistant. Life is experiential forever evolving. It is imperative to healing that we be flexible in perception and aware of changes in our reality.
