Focus

"If you focus on results, you will never change.
If you focus on change, you will get results."
Jack Dixon

Throughout life, we find ourselves questioning challenges and asking, 'why is this happening to me?' If we step out of the role of victim and trust that there is a lesson at hand, a sense of personal power returns. When we explore healthy and positive choices without expectation of a certain result, forward movement occurs.

Reducing fear and increasing awareness of new knowledge at hand, we focus on immediate purpose rather than a definitive end result. Like working a puzzle, we can move pieces of the challenge around until insight guides us closer towards new adjustments.  Holding ourselves open increases possibilities.

Too often we chastise ourselves for not having all of the answers. If we accept our lack of perfection, and focus on constructive changes, courage increases. If negative feelings interrupt progress, remember this is a process resulting in a positive expansion. Each step builds trust in our ability to change.
