"Asking the proper question is the central action
of transformation ...
Questions are the keys that cause
the secret door of the psyche to swing open."
Clarissa Pinkola Estes
Emotions will shut us down. They can totally distract, distort, deceive and numb us against pain. Sometimes we can feel this in our bodies, but unfortunately there are numerous times we avoid bodily sensations, mental anguish, or spiritual communication.
We must recognize that we are harboring the past and using it for self-criticism. An understanding of the root causes will be necessary. Secondly, we must address these hidden factors through exploration and compassion. The third step is to reframe how we address ourselves using self-value so we can unfold to the gifts within us.
If we are to grow, we must unearth the damaged soil before we can expand into transition. Change does not just happen and it won't happen if we are not loving our inner self. A freedom arrives with disclosure, but we will still be challenged. Aligned with our personal strengths, however, we will develop deep appreciation for who we truly so we can embrace who we were meant to be.
