Panic or Compassion

"To be fearless isn't really to overcome fear,
it's to come to know its nature."
Pema Chodron

If the capabilities of fear are known to us, we can equip our core self with techniques to recognize, deregulate, and respect the dynamics.  This is true of any emotion. When we develop  the ability to monitor and adjust, we can more easily return to balance.

Fear can actually be an asset by preventing us from over stepping safe boundaries or to be more alert  in situations.  There are sliding degrees of fear or any emotion.  If we acknowledge what is prompting the fear, we can appropriately contain our response

If we understand the parameters,  it reduces the possible outcome of pain. Upon exploration of our personal makeup, we will be prepared to remain balanced when confronted.  Fear has the capability of being both good and bad, but if we truly understand  ourselves, we get to choose to react with panic or compassion.
