Glancing everywhere, there was only darkness. Looking into the eyes of men or women, there was not one light to be seen. The feeling of loneliness grew heavier, and any prospect of exit dimmed. Needing to block out this reality, the eyes gently closed and new awareness drew attention within.
Adjusting to the brilliance of inner light, the body sighed in relief. It knew there was safety ahead where goodness resides. Between the sound of the body's deep breath and the beating of the heart, the mind was lulled into inner peace. This warm glow was exactly where one needed to be to reconnect with the glowing light.
Deep within, our soul radiates and beckons us to sink into the projected glowing light. It is where the spirit can remember all that is divine. It can rekindle desire to proceed in human form. Darkness is not an enemy, but a friend. It is a black backdrop for reflecting small glimmers of hope just waiting to be seen.
