In the darkness, there is choice to either shut down or power through. When we choose to endure, there is the risk of stagnation. If we persevere, change may occur mentally, physically and spiritually. The word change itself may paralyze us in fear. If we alter vocabulary, a different scenario can emerge.
Perhaps a better visualization is to imagine ourselves standing sure footed with open arms maintaining trust, hope and faith. Like a seed planted in darkness, we await the light to stream into us stimulating growth. Our mantra switches from 'I want' to simply being available to what will come.
Growth occurs when we are open and willing to shift our understanding with situations that appear. What is the meaning, how is this relevant, and how can it be embraced? We have respect for our soul, and a desire to open like a flower in bloom. We realize we are simply one blossom in a field of beauty.
