Multitude of Moments

"Do you want to spend your time on earth petrified and shut down,
or do you want to have your hands open,
squeezing out every bit of juice?"

Panache Desai

Before crisis enters our lives, we can be training ourselves to look at life with wonderment, like we did when we were children.  Instead of rushing to keep impossible schedules, we can pace ourselves and enjoy the unfolding moments as they arrive.  We can grasp joy in a multitude of moments.

My desire is not to let life happen to me, nor is it to control it.  I want to embrace life, to step up and
welcome it, exploring all of the emotions it stirs.  I realize life does not only offer containment and joy, but chaos and loss as well.  If we can learn to remain open with joyful anticipation, life flow through all experiences without getting stuck.  We can move forward being completely engaged, and living fully.

When we have limited vision, and try to manipulate every moment of our lives, we miss many of the opportunities being offered.  If we move through life with anticipation to see what unfolds, we are more than likely to avoid fear complicating scenarios.

Either love or fear can dominate our lives.  Fear will keep us small, negative, and stressed, but love will help us to expand, be more positive, and maintain a sense of peace.  Even when life goes terribly wrong,  we can choose to remain in the attitude of love.  We can search for the goodness just as easily as looking for the negative, but with very different outcomes.

When things feel entirely too intense, take a step back using a wider lens to see all of the circumstances.  Evaluating things from a different angle allows more room for resolution.  If we use our creative imagination like child's play, we will lead more authentic lives.
