Running In Circles

Did you ever stop to think
and forget to start again?

Winnie the Pooh

We can over think a subject, turning it round and round, viewing it from many angles, but still not be any wiser.  At times, we can fall into being too over analytical and end up bored or fatigued.  We can become so obsessed with a situation that we end up immobile in thought and action.  Being in your head for too long can trigger fear and depression.

Over thinking a project can dull the original vision and ultimately procrastination can kill the creative spirit.   "Give me a little more time to think this through," responds a person who may be listening to too many voices or opinions in their head.   Inability to decide, remaining restrained by our own thoughts, can frequently feel more comfortable than being forced to make a difficult decision.

Once we discover that we are a prisoner in our own think tank, it is time to take action.  Thinking will get us only so far.  We must step out into life, participate in the event and notice the feelings stemming from our heart.  Does the situation feel right and inspiring or does it feel negative and confining?  Allow the feelings from our heart to balance what we think.

By stepping out of the prison of our thoughts, we become free to participate in the magic of our lives.  While paying attention to all that surrounds us, we feel supported and connected to life itself.
