Break the Heart Open

"Your pain is the breaking of the shell
that encloses your understanding."
Kahlil Gibran

Once 'mending a broken heart'  meant either patching with crazy behavior, alcohol or drugs.  One stitched a heart back together, wrapped in bandages never expecting it to ever love again.  A spiritual author once said the heart gets broken over and over until it finally gives up and remains open ... and this was the goal all along.

If we can leave our heart open in spite of pain, we learn to equally embrace the passions and heartbreak with the knowledge we can understand and treat episodes with compassion rather than judgment.

To splay our hearts open, unprotected can be frightening but also liberating.  To believe we are love itself the heart becomes our core.  As we experience all of life, sweet and harsh, we develop a depth of wisdom to uplift ourselves and others.

Inner Light Radiates Beauty

"Beauty is not the face;
Beauty is a light in the heart."
Kahlil Gibran

The beauty found in a physical face is a mere reflection of the radiance found in the soul.  Our inner light beams from our hearts penetrating out into the world. It shines through our eyes and glows from our skin.  It can surround us extending a golden aura.

The vibration from our inner light attracts the energy of those around us.  As we add our voice, attitude, and kindness, others will take notice.  They may not have the understanding of light and energy, so it may be difficult for the observer to put his or her finger upon the spot attracting them, especially if they are limited to surface beauty.

We are able to walk amongst others with self-confidence and an awareness of our value rather than depending upon surface beauty to make our way.  We listen to the whispers from within so we are not led astray and continuously guided by our light from within the heart.

Authentic Light of the Heart

"Beauty is not in the face;
Beauty is a light in the heart."

Kahlil Gibran

Loving relationships offer open hearted acceptance.  We move beyond the exterior manifestation, into the hearts of those before us.  We engage with the cores of others and discover the authentic lights glowing within.  Afflictions, shapes, colors, and language fall to the way side in route to the core of the being.

The person before us, when dwelling from his or her heart, shines a captivating warm light allowing us to feel connected.  The light is similar to a tunnel as we can gently follow it, discovering the authenticity of each person.  On this journey of relationship, we may see scars or wounds never healed from challenges and we may hear the sounds of loss or grief.  Each depicts the survival of a trial leading to the bridge of new hope.

When we stand in the light of the heart, we understand the chemistry between us.  We acknowledge differences but they are far less than what we share in common.  Our authenticity creates a curiosity to truly grasp the amazing souls of each other.
