"When we connect with others on a deep level, we find purpose and
meaning in our relationships."
Erik Qualman
Even in the best relationships, we may not be aware of a friend's inner passage that has been traveled or the fork in the road awaiting decision. We have not seen with his or her eyes so our best choice is to listen and not advise. Our role is to be present and to learn from those we love as well as those whom we do not understand.
It is with reason that our paths cross with a variety of people. They are not there by accident, but with messages or lessons. Rather than labeling, we can be inquisitive, wondering what we may learn. It is not about approval or disapproval, but rather about the purpose they have in your life, either great or small.
We must allow ourselves to be vulnerable to receive what is at hand. When we open our hearts, authentic gifts allow us to expand. If we reach out, connection widens and diversity presents itself. We need to step out of our comfort zone and remove our preconceived ideas to experience life on a deeper and more meaningful level.
