"A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing grows there."
John Assaraf
A comfort zone is important for our body, mind and soul. It provides a sense of safety and peaceful rest. If we restrict ourselves, however, not venturing outside of our safe space, experiences are limited. Overcoming the need to control all of life, we can avail ourselves to new opportunities.
Too much of life passes us by if we wait for a specific time when we feel completely prepared for expansion. It can be frightening to step out into the unknown, but the benefits can out weigh any hesitancy. We can begin with small changes in daily routines or specific habits. If we speak kindly to ourselves, curiosity overcomes anxiety.
Visit a new coffee shop, greet strangers with a smile, and be willing to hold the self open to random conversations. Use intuitive guidance rather than intelligence while seeking new experiences. Recognizing emotional wisdom and what resonates within, we will be led to additional ways of broadening our life purpose.
