"Be a good steward of your gifts. Protect your time.
Feed your inner life. Avoid too much noise. Read
good books, have good sentences in your ears. Be
by yourself as often as you can. Walk. Take the
phone off the hook. Work regular hours."
Jane Kenyon, poet
Priorities seldom include options to fuel the body, mind and soul. Our lists are jammed with tasks needing to be done in a time related space for others. Pressure is usually involved creating anxiety and stress. The list often spills over into the next day.
It is when we truly begin to honor the importance of nurturing, do we adjust our schedules to include time to fuel our fires. On some days, 15 minutes might become available while at other times we might be able to block off a solid hour. What we do is not as important as actually utilizing the option for recognizing 'self'.
The option to address our lovely selves revitalizes our inner being. We must prime our pump to be able to flow through life balanced and aligned. We are much more powerful when we have coordinated body, mind, and soul rather than driven by stress and demand.
