Unexpected Completion

"It always seems impossible until it's done."
Nelson Mandela

Begin again and again, until the pieces either fall apart or come together.  The best part of an ending is the new beginning waiting.  What once worked might never emerge again, but there are endless possibilities if we are open to alterations.

Do not lose sight of the nugget of inspiration, but realize in order to bring it to fulfillment, numerous attempts help us refine the chip until it grows into our golden boulder.  This happens when we step back and broaden our perspectives, allowing development to take on an unique course.

Often times, it is within the imperfection that beauty glimmers through.  The end result contains blood, sweat, and tears, worthy of joy.  Extending rigid boundaries, welcoming other's thoughts, and believing that the Divine works through us, carries the inspiration to unexpected completion.

Lurking Presencce

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear,
but the triumph over it.  The brave man is not he who
does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
Nelson Mandela

Throughout my life, I have been fear based.  In the midst of challenges, I had hoped to conquer fear once and for all, but it never happened.   Although I promised my young self never to live in chaos, I was shown that life was chaos just as fear remains a lurking presence.  Fear creates chaos in my life when I do not have the courage to step through it.

Fear is an excellent warning bell, meant to be alerting us, but it should not ring with the slightest breeze.  Our hearing becomes selective as to which is actually an alarm while our vision discerns what is a self imposed obstacle.  Fear is limiting and prevents the forward movement of action.

So the chaos often swirling around me, I must walk in the midst of it, aware yet unaffected.  The fear streaming through me is obvious, but my focus overrides the limitations and succeeds in spite of its presence.  So perhaps appropriate perception and courage lead me to a better balanced existence.

Unchanged Places

"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged
to find the ways in which you yourself have altered."
Nelson Mandela

The process of personal development can last a life time, sometimes unfolding like a gentle lotus flower while at others, harshly ground to a pulp.  The past is to be a reminder of the strength we have developed and the future as a land of possibility.

As imperfect beings, we try to do our best and gain insight as we stumble down our path.  It is fruitless to compare our lovely selves to others, as they are honing individual skills that may not be parallel to ours.  That is not to say we remain strangers, but to encourage and support each other as we journey forward.

There are times our paths double back and we revisit places we have held dear or experienced a lesson on the cutting edge.  Either way, we find ourselves noticing how things seem off or different.  When we listen and observe with an open heart, we come to recognize that we are the change.  It is neither right nor wrong, just an alteration of the self.
