Witness the Heart

"When someone else's gaze is upon you, they see
your outside, but only you can show them your inside."
Debbie Ford

When we mindfully create a safe space for others, they can reveal their heart's desire. It is as though a light is turned on within them. The tone of conversation grows more animated with words creatively crafted. There is a shift in energy as though a door has opened, allowing fresh air to come in.

Once viewed as dull, a person comes alive when they can unleash personal passion. The fire within is fueled through expression and words can become lofty, yet heated. Just observing, it is as though a tight bud is unfolding with sweet fragrance and vibrant color. Our attention lavishly waters the roots.

Instead of projecting assumptions, we can open to simple listening, as discovery is at hand.  With new eyes, we can see deeply carved layers inside of a person we once did not understand. It is not about aligning with a person's perspective, but the ability to witness the heart of one other human.

Action Responds to Pain

"Our pain can be our greatest teacher.  It leads us
to places we'd never go on our own."
Debbie Ford

Our attention is quickly given to physical, emotional, and spiritual pain.  Each experience with pain can be intense, especially when it penetrates the body, mind and spirit all at once.  It is imperative that we delve beneath the pain, asking what we are meant to learn.

The negative aspects with pain deepen if we dwell in it rather than explore what the lesson is trying to unearth.  The teacher named pain, attempts to bring our awareness to what can be improved or diverted.

The positive with pain can be a prompt to something that is out of alignment. It offers opportunity to take action to enhance or improve our intentions.  We can interrupt interference by adjusting our misuse of the body or cleansing our thoughts or increasing our means of spiritual communication. Action is the key.

Silence Is An Answer

"Remember, all the answers you need are inside of you;you only have to become quiet enough to hear them!"
Debbie Ford

When we ask adults if their lives had lead them to where they had dreamed to be, very few would admit the path intended was ever followed.  Majors pursued in college are not necessarily the area of business the student ends up.   Passion kindled fires interrupt the original path and we may deviate into unexpected arenas.

Opportunities present themselves and it takes courage to leave a place of comfort.  If we have family, we may be limited in our willingness to run risk. Beloved family may encourage us to give up our chance for dreams while our mentors refer us to the voice within.

The voice we need to hear within is not ego.  The need to set ego in a time out chair is imperative.  Then sit quietly and allow the body, mind, and spirit to align.  Feel the feet connected to the ground below and open hearts and minds to whatever may flow.  Inspiration or questions may surface and we can pursue them in greater depth later.  There are times when we are filled with blissful silence.  It is within this silence we can clear our minds, expectations, and fear.  Silence, in itself, is an answer.  This quiet pause reflects the need for more information, further consideration, or to not make a decision at this time.  Be gentle with the thought process and return to it until decisions resonate within the heart.
