Commitment

The word commitment immediately stirs reaction within a human. Whether it is in reference to a relationship or a career, there is a physical and emotional reaction. It is unfortunate that this word is associated with achievements outside of ourselves. What of the commitment to ourselves internally using the body, mind and spirit?

It does not require a degree in architecture to know that a foundation is imperative to any structure. This applies to our inner being as well. There is benefit to explore true reality in our personal lives right now. What is vitally necessary for the foundation of our own well being? Are we strangers to others and ourselves?

Invest in a promise to rediscover the importance of our existence. This does not mean mundane daily tasks. This is about the core being and how it is being substantiated. Define the self and then examine how much actually still applies. We change with time and our personal commitment needs to be updated and redecorated.

Abraham Lincoln is a perfect example of how we are capable of coming from any background and continuously learn how to adapt to understand others. His restraints may have been of a political nature, but he continued to seek individual goodness in others.  Unable to divert conflict, he focused on collective resolve.

In history, Abraham Lincoln is portrayed as having heartfelt exchanges. He developed relationships with people from differing walks of life which broadened his concepts. He was more apt to be found sitting at a round table of discussion rather than standing at a podium talking down to others.

Advances can be quantitative when strengths are shared and blended with others. When consideration is based on multiple viewpoints, the extent of success lengthens. When coming together is highlighted, overcoming the temptation to stroke one's ego, decisions tend to be more respectful and advantageous.

Abraham Lincoln continues to be a mentor in my life. In numerous and surprising ways, he has assisted me in dream interpretation and exploration of diverse nature. His spirit lives on as he dared to share his private sense of self with all peoples. 

Abraham Lincoln by nature was curious, industrious, and passionate while remaining in character of being human.   He believed in individual respect and sought understanding from various perspectives. 

Abraham Lincoln maintained a thirst for knowledge. Whether in nature, libraries, or professional arenas, he was comfortable with being hands on as a simple novice.  He was not as concerned about how he was being seen, as he was in seeing.

Freedom to be Authentic

If we seek happiness from others, we will be dependent upon outside actions.  When we develop confidence and self appreciation, we discover a sense of freedom while developing the life we want or need.

We have the inner ability to support being happy or being sad.  If we hold our lovely selves accountable, we are more selective in our choosing.  

In order to make best choices, we need to have working knowledge of our preferences, passions, and abilities.  We must align our actions with our goals.  When we practice independence by listening to our spirit, we will take greater strides towards our intended worldly presence.
