"A good friend allows you a safe space to share your deepest
thoughts and needs ... without worry of being judged."
Jennifer Youngs
Where is your safe space and how often do you visit it? Do you create a sanctuary in your home with music and candles, or do you use visualization or meditation? How much time do you dedicate to this needed privacy? Do you minimize the importance of having a time out or do you respect your needs?
The intention to 'carry' your load alone is unhealthy. You need an outlet to release pent up fears or repressed experiences. When you use designated quiet time to release heavy energy, you improve the quality of emotional, physical and spiritual living. When space for contemplation is provided, a sense of control returns.
Take time to evaluate the perceptions you hold in your mind. Think through them and then allow yourself time for further exploration. Whether choosing a trusted friend, a therapist, or a favorite meditative state, you will reclaim a stronger sense of who you long to be. With a new sense of hope, you will move forward with greater confidence.
