Art of Being Still

When a sense of lack develops, we want to fill the void as fast as we can. We may feel restless with a lapse in routine. Being alone with our personal thoughts may make us uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we have lost the art of being still which distances us from our strong inner core.

It is within stillness that we learn from our thoughts and feelings. It houses awareness of how we are perceiving life. It is a private sanctuary where we can feel safe and vulnerable. It is an area where it is okay to simply be. Releasing impulses to be driven, we return to the state of human being rather than doing. 

When there is total lack of activity or movement, we experience stillness. It is within this quietude that peace can be found. Connection with our higher selves or Divine Spirit, gently guides and refreshes our vision. It is within this space that we are awakened and renewed towards the life we long to live.
