Depths of Passion

"I want to love you without clutching, appreciate you without judging,
join you without invading, invite you without demanding, leave you
without guilt, criticize without blaming, and help you without insulting.
If I can have the same from you ... "
Virginia Satir

The word passion can be replaced by words such as: affection, anger, ardor, dedication, devotion, excitement.  It is an emotion that can be applied to various endeavors with varying accelerants and strategically projected outcomes.

To increase the depths of passion, one strives to not suffocate, stifle, or insult. As we learn to  support and uplift, the flames of the fire within create sparks and shimmering dances. If we trust the sensation of breaking loose, we can raise our spirits to realms unknown.

When we choose to join forces, euphoria can be experienced.  The key is to embrace the passion of others with integrity and compassion, based on the same scale we expect for our lovely selves.  The depths of our passion are intricate and revolving.  To our own hearts, we must be true.

Intervention Prevails

"What you see as lapse or a stumble,
I see as Divine Expansion."
Jennifer Crokaert

We might be 'nudged' to reach out to a friend, and when we do, we learn they are in dire need of support.  Impulsively, we might turn down a side street instead of our normal path, only to discover the perfect apartment to rent.  We could engage in a random conversation, learning of an unbelievable connection with a person, place or thing.

Like a vehicle on the interstate, we can mentally zip from place to place saving time, but do we utilize the savings to nurture and nourish?  We can choose the scenic route, allowing our mind to gently unfold while we are transported by lofty views and sensations.  My friends, our journey needs to include both streamlining and expanding.

When we are bombarded by shrapnel from dismissal, deprivation, or death, the pain can feel unbearable.   We may find our selves to be starving, injured, or paralyzed, but once we lift our eyes to the possibility of what may come, we  begin to heal.  The expiration date of pain is non-existent, but once we learn to discern the presence of the Divine, intervention prevails.

In the Midst of Agreement and Controversy

"The mind is just like a muscle ~ the more
you exercise it, the stronger it gets and
the more it can expand."
Idowu Koyenikan

Our mind can voluntarily close out of fear which aborts the approach of depth and expansion.  As a human being, we have the desire to explore and discover, but too often we regulate options based on what we already believe.

If we consistently duplicate information, our boundaries become tighter blocking out the mystery and the wonder waiting in the shadows.  When we remember that choice is ours, we face the unknown with the ability to embrace or deflect.

To be aware of eclectic knowledge, and selecting what resonates, we will stretch and grow. We do not have to agree, but the simple exposure triggers introspection and challenges what we think we know.  With a broad base, we can stand in the midst of both agreement and controversy.

Sedona, Embedded Within

"What a journey life is!
Dependent, entirely, on things unseen."
James Baldwin

In Sedona, Arizona,  I rotated through the vortexes.  Each one offered individual depth and vibration, welcoming my body, mind, and soul.  I have never found explicit words to describe my experiences, as so many sources were unseen.

Sedona embraces the appearances of UFO's, etchings of Native American Culture, and eclectic energy practitioners, as well as authors and musicians. There are bountiful tales passed down, with the environment supporting each one.

When I reflect upon my experiences there, whether high in the mountains or sitting by a stream, I am challenged to find words that precisely articulate all that cannot be seen.   I can only equate it with visualizing a visit to an ancient domain filled with life changing characters, yet upon leaving, not remembering one name.  The spirit of Sedona wordlessly becomes embedded within.

Always Meant to Be ...

"I want you to get excited about who you are, what you are,
what you have, and what can still be for you."
Virginia Satir

My wish will always be for you to see your lovely self just as I see you.  Step up to the plate and embrace the affirmations given to you.  Enter the ring and choose which fights will better you.   Repel the negative words thrown at you, and nurture the blessings found within your heart.

Own both elements of fire and water as aspects of the self.  Ignite the passion within you feeling the sense of being unleashed, powerful, and free.  Bathe in the calm waters, dive into rolling waves, and float upon your dreams.

Let no person tell you how deeply to breathe nor how not to bend with the breeze.  Disallow boundaries keeping you gated, restricted, and closed in.  Let your beautiful feet sink into the ground and lift your delicate hands up into mysterious clouds. Let yourself be exactly how you were always meant to be.

Stillness of a Tree

"You don't always need a plan.  Sometimes you just
need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens."
Mandy Hale

The tree is majestic just standing in place.  Even when every leaf has fallen, there is still the strength of presence and grace.  The deep roots may be unseen, but they continue to hold the tree strong waiting for nature's direction.

We accumulate intentions, expectations, and rigid time lines which can actually impede our pace.  Clutter abounds distancing us from synchronistic or intuitive input that could  be unexpected accelerants towards vision and passion.

We can gather support by allowing open spaces for guidance and direction.  During unplanned opportunities, we may encounter unexpected options.  Like the mighty tree,  we can choose to experience stillness,  breathing in the unknown while waiting to see what happens.

Symphony and Angel's Wings

"Miracles don't happen to you.
They happen through you."
Mary Davis

There are endless stories of every day humans becoming miracle workers.  A lotto winner gives a person in dire need assistance. A grieving son in the loss of his mother adopts a woman at a nursing home.  Seniors adopt abused senior dogs.  The restaurant owner gives excess food to shelters.

We might not feel like a miracle worker, but when we follow our impulse to assist where needed, the recipient feels as though a miracle has been bestowed.  To us it might just be a compliment, a smile or a simple wave, but to the beholder the overture may feel like a life saving symphony.

Even though an opportunity escapes us, it is never too late to respond in kindness. When we begin to notice the small moments circling us, our reactions may be small although mighty.  As we offer what we have to give, allowing miracles to pass through us, our hearts will radiate while recipients feel the touch of angel's wings.

Stimulating Establishment

"Lock up your libraries if you like; but there is no gate, no lock, no bolt,
that you can set upon the freedom of the mind."
Virginia Woolf

Libraries are more than a building.  They offer a safe place no matter if we are young or old, without fees for travel or insights or rhapsodies.  These facilities serve as stimulating  learning establishments for inspiration, disclosure, and development.

Since childhood, my library card has been a prized possession offering safe passage in finding hope, testimony, and history. It opened doors into the world of the enlightened, persecuted and mentally tormented. A sense of connection encouraged me to not only read on the premises, but to establish a level of comfort to write in depth which would lead to creativity.

Whether seeking Khalil Gibran Albert Einstein or Virginia Woolf,  gateways remained open for truth to unfold.  I learned of dreamscapes and sacred rituals from the ancients which I longed to behold.  The value of a library is endless as it is a garden for our soul.

Sunshine, Freedom and Wildflowers

"Just living isn't enough," said the butterfly,
"one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."
Hans Christian Anderson

There is a difference between existing and living, singing and weeping or dancing and stumbling.  A stationary view shifts whether bathed in the illuminating light of love or the lonely shadows of darkness.

The concept of stability comes into question. Foundations shift and pavement cracks.  Whether through the use of earthquakes, hurricanes, or storms, Mother Nature has the ability to alter any scenario.

In spite of all insecurities, we are called to struggle out of our cocoons ... sometimes gracefully, sometimes not.  Shape shifting into the body of a butterfly, we are drawn by the sun, nurtured by the flight towards freedom, and discover peace while resting upon a fragrant wildflower.

Approaching or Leaving

"Laughter is a sunbeam of the soul."
Thomas Mann

There is something indescribable that shifts in our body as we either watch the sun rise or the sun set.  In one, there is a hope for new beginnings; while in the other, there is a pause for the what may have been.

The gift accompanying a sun whether rising or setting is a presence so we do not feel alone. Even when accompanied by the unseen, we feel a strength gathering to assist us embrace what is approaching or release what is leaving.

Even though my fears form clouds floating over the sun, my heart has learned that it will always be there, hanging in the sky, waiting for me.  Like a flower, I turn my face upwards, reaching for the connection to stimulate my soul.

Cusp of Moving

"You and I possess within ourselves at every moment of our lives,
under all circumstances, the power to transform the quality of our lives."
Werner Erhard

As claimed numerous times before, I have gypsy blood running through my veins.  I have maintained residence in apartments, condos, and homes. I also feel the nudge to disclose there have been tents and caves as well.

Whether taking passage in a canoe in the Canadian wilderness or strolling through lavender farms in Maui or splashing in ocean waves in St. Thomas, I have welcomed fresh perspective and the ability to take note when they begin to blur.  Endlessly, my feet have cherished a union with the ground beneath, and my heart has remained loyal to the moon.

I find my lovely self on the cusp of moving once again.  In the process of life, debris is often removed creating new perspectives.  Guides tend to whisper ... "Let your spirit soar!"

Rain Drops, Creative Moistening

"Our tears prepare the ground for our future growth.
Without this creative moistening,
we may remain barren."
Julia Cameron

The rain steadily falls outside of my window.  As it turns to ice, I can hear the pelts striking the panes.  The transition reminds me of how my emotions can either slide from tears with paralyzed reactions or create a sense of cleansing for prosperity.

I tend to associate raindrops with the fragrance of spring and the promise of colorful flowers.  The same is true for my own tears or raindrops, as they wash off the old and stagnant, preparing for increased creativity and comfort.

The perspective of rain falling from the heavens adds a gentle comfort to the constant stirring in my life. My tears, like raindrops, represent creativity, new beginnings, and release.  They offer a sense of nurturing and rebirth.  I see them as comforting, peaceful, supporting elements in my life.

Flexible and Courageous

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage. ANAÏS NIN”

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."
Anais Nin

When presented with boredom, we can recognize it as a signal to move towards unexplored directions.  If we feel completely jammed up, we can view what is blocking our flow and pry it out.  As we refrain from being closed off, we allow fresh air to flow inwards.

We can establish a healthy balance between being over extended and isolation.  The key to new beginnings is putting our thoughts into action.  As we move forward, we are living with our inner soul beaming and our outer identity sustaining.

If fear stands in our way, determine how realistic or factual this projected emotion might be. In spite of hesitation, what rewards are waiting?   Does the end result offer fertile ground to plant new seeds?  If we choose to become flexible and courageous, we can move out of our shades of  darkness, developing an enriched version of life.

Uncorrupted Gaze

"It is a rare gift to venture into the unexplored depths of the self,
without delusions or fictions, but with an uncorrupted gaze."
Friederich Nietzsche

When a pause presents itself, we begin to think of errands or activities to fill the uncomfortable void, rather than becoming still with introspection.  There is much to be learned from our outer awareness, but there are deep treasures awaiting within.

Time is generously given to outward appearances of our home, body, and placement, while equal attention to our inner parts tends to be limited. When we take inventory and update who we are inside, we shed people, places, and things that no longer nurture our soul.

When we honor our spiritual self by displaying it with our public identity, our sense of self becomes stronger.  We discover what needs to be shifted, claimed, or excavated.  Loneliness is replaced by a new sense of living resonating throughout our core.

Embracing Silence

"Develop a love for solitude and silence
and you'll get peace and self-reliance in return."
Maxime Lagace

This Valentine's Day, I am setting a pretty table with linens and crystals, highlighted by numerous candles and differing flowers. Even though there is only one place setting, I will be embracing the presence of love and flow.

In hindsight, there were numerous times of being surrounded by others and yet feeling totally alone.  False aspects of loving were suffocating while denying the truth of reality. Energy was tainted and drained by the lies and misconceptions.

Today, I feel in harmony with all there is while allowing everything to have its own place.  I am  brimming with possibility for evolving creatively in spiritually heightened space.  So I lift my goblet filled with cheer, embracing silence with peace and grace.

When the Fog Lifts and the Sun Shines

"Self-esteem is made up primarily of two things:
feeling lovable and feeling capable."
Jack Canfield

When the fog lifts and the sun shines, I happily wander through through the trees.  Earthy fragrances and the scampering of small creatures, enliven my connection with all there is.  As messages whisper through the branches, I am keen to remain curious within each moment.

Whatever I wrap around my lovely self, keeps me loving and kind. Memories remind me of  what I am capable of creating.  The colors I choose to paint my environment, impacts my attitudes and perceptions.  When I view my presence from a distance, I can determine where I need cleansing and restoration.

When the fog lifts and the sun shines, I am called to embrace the way things are and what needs to be created to sustain my heart's desire.  In the midst of trees, I gather energy to be invested into new space which will allow me to safely glide and soar.

Abraham Lincoln, Being Seen or Seeing

"My best friend is a person
who will give me a book
I have not read."
Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln continues to be a mentor in my life. In numerous and surprising ways, he has assisted me in dream interpretation and exploration of diverse nature. His spirit lives on as he dared to share his private sense of self with all peoples.

Abraham Lincoln by nature was curious, industrious, and passionate while remaining in character of being human.   He believed in individual respect and sought understanding from various perspectives.

Abraham Lincoln maintained a thirst for knowledge. Whether in nature, libraries, or professional arenas, he was comfortable with being hands on as a simple novice.  He was not as concerned about how he was being seen, as he was in seeing.

Drift, Float and Glide

"You don't have to convince anybody of anything,
and you don't have to attract anyone's attention."
Haruki Murakami

If we look inside of our heart, we can identify what resonates within us ... supports, excites, and expands.  We are misled when we seek definition in the expectation of others. When we maintain clear vision of our acquired tools and blessed gifts, our paths are chosen with greater clarity.

We can choose to shift our vernacular from 'what are you looking for' to 'what do i choose for self-alignment'.  With patience, we can develop our authentic selves engaging in each individual moment reflecting a sense of freedom and enlightenment.

As we face life with an appreciation for the 'self' we learn to proceed with confidence, awareness, and accuracy.  With a willingness to resolve blocks, to stay the course in spite of detours, and to remain connected with all things, we discover a sense of peace, beauty, and oneness.

Persuasion and Articulation

"One of the best ways to persuade others is with your ears ...
by listening to them."
Dean Rusk

The world is spinning collectively and personally.  Control becomes less of a desire, replaced by the need for normalcy.  The need for connection increases as we seek alignment with kindred spirits.

We can be driven by the desire to be understood, and this can be facilitated  if we take the time to have a sense of our listener's viewpoint.  If we take the time to meet her/him within their comfort zone, there will be a greater possibility for persuasion.

As we articulate our needs, we can choose words that resonate with the listener.  When we avoid vague descriptions, and use clarity, our supporter can be of greater help.  Create the atmosphere of connection, choose accurate projections, and be attentive to both sides of the conversation.  The ears are important tools when dealing with persuasion and articulation.

Insights and Snowflakes

"From the flowing of one moment into the next
will come your pathway."
Ron Rathburn

Insights are similar to snowflakes, as they are unique in design. When gently gathered, either flake or thought can create a beautiful outcome. The key is to understand the value it may have individually or collectively.

When we have preconceived ideas, we may not notice what is right before us.  If we have rigidly set a time frame, what the Universe intends may out of reach, blocked by self-imposed boundaries. If we are overly focused, we tend to miss the lofty images intended to support us.

As we co-create with the Universe, visualization brings a vibrancy, while we continue to remain open to random expansions.  We are surrounded by the unseen, just waiting to be asked to assist in our unfolding lives.

Heightening Authentic Direction

"I will no longer let other's behavior incite fear or anger within me.
There is choice.  So I will encourage myself to stay aligned with who I am."
Unknown Author

There is relief from fear or anger, when we allow our lovely selves to step back from what is happening. When we no longer engage, our view is frequently altered.  As we gain more clarity, we can readjust the level of our investment.

When we feel exhausted from attempts of being what others expect us to be, we gain healthy momentum by reviewing, respecting, and honoring our own strengths.  We grant ourselves permission to take pause and prioritize what we desire and how we wish to arrive.

Revamping relationships or careers, consistent and affirmative application is necessary. What better investment than infusing the self for higher levels of learning, serving and purpose.  Misdirection and faulty endeavors drain our energy,  while heightening authentic direction creates prosperity.

Goodness Shall Surely Find Us

"Everything that is meant for you, will find you ..."
Deepak Chopra

Our intended life is frequently interrupted by the flaws of human nature.  Fear and anxiety are allowed to cast false shadows and faulty steps are taken.  In spite of getting in  our own way, Divine Spirit is thankfully persistent until we find our way.

We are under the unfortunate misunderstanding that life is meant to be bliss, joy, and happiness without any sense of strife, grief, or loss.  Our gardens of life and inner sanctuaries need nurturing and tender care as the winds of time force themselves upon us.

If we prepare best as we can for aspects of change,  we can maintain alignment.  If  we adapt to the absence of what no longer serves us, we continue the climb towards unknown horizons, and goodness shall surely find us.

Stark Reality and Divine Plan

"Let no sadness come to this heart.
Let no trouble come to these arms.
Let no conflict come to these eyes.
Let my soul be filled with the blessing
of joy and peace."
conscious reminder.com

Stark reality offers opportunities to regress, become stuck, or stretch and grow.  Whatever appears before us, we have the gift of choice contributing to how we will engage with what awaits before us.

We will be more effective if we first turn within acknowledging we are truly not alone.  We can become empowered by our inner light while facing the fear and anxiety that accompanies choice.

Listen to the message within and stay in alignment with where it leads.  Maintain faith that Divine Spirit has a plan and trust in the results.  This is not to say the road is easy, but it will be monumental in authentic results.

Nudged Into A Better Way

"A goal is not always meant to be reached,
it often serves simply as something to aim for."
Bruce Lee

We attend a class to increase our knowledge in a specific area, hoping it will teach us new tools to obtain our goals.  We imagine the benefits of investing our time to advance us forward in mind or resume.

There are endless stories of those participating in such scenarios, who accidentally connect with kindred spirits.  Whether they share insights or describe new arenas, we find ourselves gently nudged into scenarios or destinations newly framed.

We may seek time by the ocean, but get magically carried into a cave.  We may reach the top of a mountain, only to be inspired by the rigorous climb rather than the ultimate view.  Spirit is continuously hovering with blessings, lessons, and opportunities. It is when we remain calm and open, that we become nudged into a better way.

Breaches Authentic Repair

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait
a single moment before starting
to improve the world."
Anne Frank

It is somewhat easy to point a finger at all of the waste, to "tsk tsk" at the gossiped disgrace, and raise our voice to what aught be done.  Perhaps, we even feel pious spouting about world peace, political disgrace and climate change.

The idle chatter conquers nothing and the swirl of disrespect breaches authentic repair. In our hearts, we realize the importance of stepping forward with kindness, right here and right now.

Bend to pick up discarded waste.  Give a hand to those who need help.  Make healthy choices for time spent in this space.  Be led by messages from the heart, as they will not lead us astray.  Skip through the world with joy on your face and others will respond with similar haste.

Traveling Into The Unknown

"It always seems impossible until it is done."
Nelson Mandela

Repeatedly, I create a scenario where I hope to be my best.  To unleash my passion, enjoy freedom, and soar through trees lifting up to the sky, I move forward knowing this will be exactly what I have been searching.

Did I set my goals unrealistically, miscalculate my power, and set my lovely self up for failure?  As I stand back calculating what caused the drift, I realize it was merely another lesson without any right or wrong.

The surfacing of a new challenge can be minimized, ignored or viewed as totally foolish.  How many times are we willing to try again with new tools and rising destinations?  When I am no longer paralyzed by fear, I manage to view a new and improved self, capable of once again traveling into the unknown.

Shall We Wish or Plan?

"It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan."
Eleanor Roosevelt

Out of nowhere, a very pleasant idea surfaces and we think, "Boy! Wouldn't that be nice?" We may expand upon the possibility, adding wishful thinking and idly day dreaming.   Curiously, one can wonder what would happen if a person actually took action.

Instead of wasting time wishing for life to be different, we can utilize our efforts into creating a plan.  What if we switched thought with action?  How would life be if we took a calculated risk?  Imagine the result if we actually invested in change.

Inner fear keeps opportunities at bay.  Fear erodes inspiration and confidence.  Fear trips us up prior to beginning.  How many times does the Universe have to float possibilities before us until we step into the light, diminishing fear?
