Relax and Release

"The wise person remains centered enough
to let go  every time  the energy shifts into
a defensive mode. The moment the energy
moves and you feel your consciousness start
to get drawn into it, you relax and release."
Michael A. Singer
the untethered soul

We have discussions with kindred spirits for the sake of connection and learning.  A subject can surface from the past, but it does not need to be revived with new energy. Ideally, we remain in the moment maintaining balance.

We are passionate people, however, and an old fire can burst into flames, drawing us off balance.  A few may focus on staying in the moment while others silently back away from the flames, detached.  Another might stand loyal and once again witnesses the original pain and fury, getting sucked back in.  Eventually, lingering emotions burn themselves out.

When we all return to the same center and realize we have allowed our energy to run rampant, we individually return to center. We desire to remain in a neutral experiential frame, but to do this we must choose where our energy goes.  We must be cognizant of shifts in order not to engage, but to relax and release.
