"The hardest thing to open is a closed mind."
Ahmed Kathrada
In the darkest of times, we bolt the doors of our mind and brace ourselves for the unseen psychological forces. Instinct tells us to hold fast to what we know which then triggers rigid behaviors. As we shut down emotionally, energy is used for survival, rather than preparing for rehabilitative change.
What if we threw open the windows of our mind? How would it feel for fresh thoughts and possibilities to float into consciousness? What if we prayed for guidance and actually became still long enough to perceive it? As light filters in, we may begin to see ourselves as the Divine intended.
Our mind is impacted by numerous teachers speaking in different languages. Our vision contracts and expands to allow new variances of creativity. With a slight shift in nuance, we may hear a different interpretation. It is time to open the doors of the mind, allowing light to show us a new way.
