Communication Without Sound

"Silence isn't' empty; it's full of answers."
Buddha

If we can love and accept ourselves, there is comfort in being still. With no need to perform or attract, we can patiently observe. There is much to be learned through awareness whether out in nature or in the company of friends. When we learn to be quiet, there is so much more to be heard.

When we hold ourselves open, our senses deepen allowing sensitivity to increase. We find ourselves asking what we are not seeing behind an image or what is not being said behind a rambling narrative. Watching eye movement alone adds volumes to a response. By refraining from using words, a new language appears.

Silent communication with the Divine can heighten life experience. Whether in meditation or walking in nature, we learn in the solitude. Loosening our focus, what is unclear can take form. Whether in visions or dreamscapes, information can be prevalent. It is within the silence that communication soars.

Opening To Divine Communication

"To walk safely through the maze of human life,
one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue."
Buddha

Elements of devotion can be attached to numerous practices whether involving gods, goddesses, or wisdom figures. A connection with a mystic or spiritual guide is usually in pursuit of a closer union with the Divine. A developed devotion offers love, respect, kindness, service and a peaceful heart.

Opening to Divine Intervention on a personal level, we not only include ourselves, but also loved ones, enemies and all beings. We are called to forgive ourselves as well as others. We are challenged to see God in all peoples and treat them accordingly. We are challenged to open hearts to be seen and to see others.

We seek wisdom and guidance strengthening our spirit with the Divine. Whether using a rosary, mezuzah, or prayer, we request the blessing for the highest good of all peoples. Adding music to a practice, hearts open and frequently inspire a personal chant. In this way, we create a spiritual connection with all peoples, places and things. Namaste ...

Searching for Truth

"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth."                            Buddha

There was a time I believed that the truth was set in stone, never changing, and everlasting dependable. I began to notice, however, my own truth became amended and opened to  new perspectives. At times I drew a line claiming, "Never", only to alter my thinking as life began to happen to me.

Truth as I knew it guided me, but figuring in mindfulness and enlightenment, new understandings presented. Whether agreeing or not, at least I could see how one shoe didn't necessarily fit everyone's foot. If I paid close attention, discernment alerted me to the inconsistencies of truths being told to me.

Truth as I know it governs how I live, but there needs to be room for the interpretation of others who are living a completely different life. There seems even when there is one great truth, it is translated differently in languages, cultures, and behaviors. I will hold my truth closely with honor and respect, while offering the same to others.

Disregarding Patient Spaces

"Like the moon, come out from behind
the clouds! And shine!"
Buddha

As we let go of the 'should' and 'should nots' in life, we create more room for non-judgmental thinking.  The darkness will always be on the other side of light.  It will never go away as it is aligned with the light.  It is when we choose to embrace the light in spite of the darkness that freedom is found.

It is when we forget that we have choice and disregard patient spaces for new resolve, that life hurries past, somewhat unfulfilled. We grow heavier with unrest and begin to obsess with only the darkness rather than dividing time to seek the light.

It is when we begin to see the blessings flooding into our lives as symbols, glimpses, and whispers, that we become released into a higher level of existing.  The present joy of small things carries us farther into knowing who we are and what our purpose can be.

Honor The Heart's Desire ... All Else Will Follow

"Your work is to discover your world and
then with your heart, give yourself to it.:
Buddha

As odd as it sounds, we truly can choose and pick aspects of our world.  First we learn to navigate the outer world and then we explore our inner world, and then we create the best of both worlds.  There are ways, as an average individual, we can address and impact our world.

For example, if we really have an issue with people being without food, we can create anything from instigating a food shelter to personally never wasting food or hoarding more than we need.  If we want to shield ourselves from violence we can discover the best route for ourselves knowing safe places to stop if there is ever trouble.  We can be mindful about security at home and on devices.  And truly, stop watching or reading excessive violence which we then bring into collective thought.

Human beings have power that is often overlooked.  We find strength within ourselves by focusing on what we do well and how we want to apply this to our world.  If our heart says, "This is what I want to do!" we need to build upon that idea.  Our focus needs not to be on higher income, better opportunities for pleasure, or higher recognition.   All of that just might be drawn to us if we perfect the path our heart has chosen.

Get Out Of The Way

"Know well what leads you forward
and what holds you back,
and  choose  the  path
that leads to wisdom."

Buddha

We can choose to live in an environment like a school of fish, blending in and hoping never to be singled out.   The 'v' formation ducks fly, (taking turns being a leader and then dropping back into formation for a while), is another choice.  We could step into prayer at a monastery closed away from the business of life to live in seclusion.  We could choose to participate in a retreat to strengthen our creative expression, whatever it may be. Actually, we could take a piece of each choice and form a sense of balance.

Alignment offers attention to different parts of our selves.  We may be called to be a small part of a greater picture or we may share leadership.  We can still find appropriate time to be in solitude and deliberately heighten our artistic endeavors.

When our decisions are not well thought out and impulsively random, we may never reach a plateau.  If we think too long and too hard, we may never leave the starting block.  When we do not plan equal  distribution of energy, we will be overwhelmed.  It is when we remain aware of our choices in reference to the greater goal that we move forward with wisdom.
