This flame is in honor of those who have been so very dear to me throughout hardship and celebrations. They are the ones who remained true to his or her own path without trying to meet my needs or expectations. I am grateful to have learned through their example of being true to themselves and not out of false allegiance to me.
I may lead for a while. but I have no need for followers. Walk next to me and share what is seen based upon personal perceptions. Expand with personal experiences and let me know what it is that has been learned. Yes, reflect back to me who I am, but more importantly, show me who you are.
This celebration is to honor forever bonds. It is to recognize deep appreciation for the safe space consistently offered to me. The integrity of our connection has been inspirational and life altering. I can only hope that our light will forever shine together helping others not only find his or her way but exceed all expectations.
