The Positive Found in Nothingness ...

"Alone, I often fall down into nothingness.
I push my foot stealthily lest I should fall off
the edge of the world into nothingness."
Virginia Woolf

When time stops and creates a lag, the space is usually felt as emptiness.  The pause between life and more life can be a lonely time.  We sit quietly, appreciative of our last challenge being put to rest, and we give great thought of what lies hidden waiting in the next expanse of time.

This pause often is deemed as a negative.  We feel disconnected and our ego roars for recognition and yet we long to rest.  Perhaps we feel untethered as we are not presently attached to a challenge or an outcome.  We are suspended between two solid blocks of time in our lives.

Recently, it has come to attention that this pause of nothingness is actually an opportunity for insight, guidance and creativity.  Instead of feeling lonely, we can turn our awareness inside and quietly be mindful of what surfaces.  Be still, the connection will come. One really needs to try.
