"Embrace uncertainty. Some of the most
beautiful chapters in our lives will
not have a title until much later."
Bob Goff
'Nothing is etched in stone', or so the saying goes; and my mind automatically sees a cemetery with words engraved on tombstones weathered by time. The grave marker may tumble and years may take a toll, but there tends to be a portion remaining, marking the life that passed.
And so it is with losses of the heart. In spite of promises made or vows recited, time tends to abrasively wear down oaths made in stone. Forgive and forget may eventually soothe the heart, but a tell tale slip of memory resides.
As we evolve through the chapters of our lives, sections aught to remain untitled, as our perspectives change over time. With passing years, accuracy for detailed words may not be as potent as the sense of presence remembered of one once loved.
