This Time, Flourish!

"A person's greatest limitations are not genetic,
but imposed by self-doubt, insecurities,
indecision,and timidity."
Kilroy J. Oldster

Let's place our lovely selves in a space of kindness and creativity.  We can open our mind to possibility and allow imagination to fly.  Look beyond the veils where brilliance, radiance, and mysteries await to be found.

We can do this when we are really feeling pumped and positive, but eventually life eats away at our demeanor.  One small directed criticism can pop our dream and internal trash talk reduces securities.  In the shadows, we wallow and without light, we shrink.

Fortunately, life is similar to a spiral and we cycle back into a sense of self. Ego will do its best to remind us of our unfinished projects, but this time we surge from our heart and not the head.  Remaining mindful and present, we explore each moment flowing from spirit into our core. Surely this time we will flourish!

Unearthing Emotional Barricades

"Our shadow emerges from the unspeakable things
that we discover about the world and ourselves."
Kilroy J. Oldster

The core words driving my success were spoken by my mother when I was an unseen child.  Talking to a friend she said, "That child could fall into a pile of shit and come out smelling like a rose."  These being the kindest words I ever heard my mother say about me, I was driven to enter dysfunction and exit smelling like success.  I was nearing 50 when I became aware of this unconscious belief.

Intolerant of the harsh emotions surrounding me in early life, I was determined to never live in chaos once I left home.  For years I would avoid all confrontation or ignore unacceptable behaviors in relationships, as I refused chaos, making a mess of my personal self. It was later in life when I finally understood that life is chaos and we must learn to lives in its midst.

For many years I collected labels (education, wife, mother, social worker, energy worker) to best describe my contribution to my life.  The strong image I reflected out into the world was acceptable, but the real work was waiting within ... the personal discovery of love for the self. I have finally evolved into a core of light shining love out upon the inhabitants of this earth as my commitment to life.

Shower Cleanses Gunk Away

"The greatest challenge in life is to be our own person and
accept that being different is a blessing and not a curse."
Kilroy J. Oldster

My entire body was exhausted from hauling all of this garbage out.  The more I removed, the more it seemed to expand.  For what reason had I been keeping all of this heavy and stinking garbage floating around in my head?  I wanted to reflect light to others and be free to be me!

Upon finishing, at least for now, I stood in the shower allowing water to cleanse all lingering gunk away.  It felt so good, like I had tilled a field and fragrant flowers were pushing up through the ground.  It was now so much easier to see my goodness and feel happy with who I was without all unnecessary things clinging to me.

I promised myself to be selective with what I would now store.  I would continue to listen to criticism, except I would discard what didn't fit.  I would increase my time with those who support me and limit my exposure to those who pulled me down.  I yearned to be 'me' and anxiously awaited my flickering candle to grow brighter  and to guide  my positive energy wherever it needed to go.

Improve Human Existence

"The mental mist of ambiguity
and the fog of ambivalence
hamper human existence."
Kilroy J. Oldster

To the wilting garden the need of water is apparent.  To the older homeowner, the sagging roof needs repair.  To the teacher with the rebellious child, the absence of loving care is apparent.  While observing the world around us, there is lack to be noticed.

What if we had a way to immediately address lack both big and small?  Imagine if we had a magic wand to anonymously offer good in any and all situations.  Sense the call as our eyes roam throughout our day.

Whether we call them prayer, energy, or magic, we have the tools to assist.  All we need to do is be aware of need and ask for goodness.  As we offer the prayer or energy for support, together we all contribute. The burst of miracle we may never see nor know, but when we give of ourselves, we will all prosper.
