Thousands of Blossoms

"Sometimes we are on the verge of
blossoming into a thousand flowers."
Archaeology for the Woman's Soul

As a young mother, I pushed my education and career behind me to savor the challenges of raising my children. When they finally attended school, I had personal time which was used for laundry, cooking, and cleaning. When they were all out of the nest, thoughts about my identity returned.

There have been a variety of hats that I have worn both professionally and personally. When high winds blow, my hat gets knocked off and I search for a new one. When things are sunny, the brim shields my vision from staunch beams of light. I change from season to season, wondering who I will be when I finally grow up.

Now more than ever, I suspect new meaning will be found just around the curve. My feet are firmly planted in rich soil, seeds have been carefully selected, and positive visualization will direct my thoughts and plans. This time, in my heart I know, my kindness will foster thousands of blossoms wherever they need to go.
