"If the only prayer you say in your entire life is thank you,
it will be enough."
Meister Eckhart
Thanksgiving Holidays bring us together with others to rejuvenate kindness, respect, and a sense of reverence. Accepting there is no such thing as perfection, we may begin to accept our existence with kinder eyes. Removing judgment, criticism and sarcastic humor, we begin to give praise with a thankful heart.
Sharing with those we cherish and with those who may have challenged us, we find a common ground of peace. We may relax our eyes to see with new vision and open our ears to hear additional parts of a misconstrued story. When gathering, try to experience the sense of being one, together.
Table preconceived assessments and open the heart to meet both old and young anew. Instead of contempt, let curiosity lead to a new conversation where everyone can stretch and grow. Offer praise and appreciation for the food placed at the table and generously offer a simple 'thank you' to all who have prepared this feast.
