Elevating Vibrations

Science continues to verify the benefits of listening to music and singing which have been practiced since ancient history. Whether playing an instrument or chanting, the vibrations and expressions are said to be healing. Any instrument, whether guitar, piano or drum, generates the release of pent-up feelings. Singing does the same.

Whether singing with an opera or jamming with a favorite artist, our spirits are lifted. We feel better about ourselves, and our brain relaxes. Singing and dancing around the kitchen can be the very best of medicines. The musical experience, no matter what level, can ground us and release built up tension.

In a search of increasing spiritual practices, both music and chanting enhance meditative sessions. Combining breath intake with simple sounds, one can experience energy pulsing through the body and aligning with the soul. Hearts become free floating and repressed emotions escape allowing the sense of connection with the Divine.

 

Becoming The Trigger

How will we gather wisdom if we never explore? Where will we find the tools when we need them, if we do not collect them along our journey? How will the majestic universe provide for us if we do open to possibility?  

We are called to take advantage of opportunities to let our passions flow.  If we wait to pick up a pen, our discoveries may never be known.  If we do not pick up the brush, the masterpiece will never unfold.  

Whether novice or recognized master, we are enhanced by letting our creativity flow.  As we release our creativity, primitive or gem, we experience joy which is most needed in our chaotic lives. We are the trigger to our own innovations.

 

Freedom of Creative Expression

 

It is one of those days where nothing is going right.  Coffee pot ignored the preset. Difficult to get on the Internet and stay there.  Computer program freezes up and then I lose everything. 

 

Who keeps throwing up all of these walls?  What is the message here? Maybe I am being guided away from my routine, to stretch my boundaries in a different direction.

 

So I set my sails for areas that rarely become my port.  I put on some happy music, light as many candles as I can (without starting a fire), crank up some music, and unearth my water colors!  I position myself in front of the window looking out to all that lives and breathe in the sunshine, until I feel filled with radiant joy. 

 

For hours I am lost, free floating in the wash of the colors from my brush.  Exploring different strokes and images from varying brushes.  Sensing a need to expand even further, I find my calligraphy pen and sketch in some vague details. 

 

When my water colors dry, I will save them for a spell.  Eventually they will be discarded, but the memories of the freedom I felt in creative expression will be ever lasting!
