Some bookmarks have torn edges and creases galore,
while others script brilliance like rockets that soar.
Indiscriminately shuffled through pages unknown
would not be pleasant nor a choice of my own.
I would rather be ink, permanent and bold,
imprinted on pages for all to behold!
