Healing Bubbles

  He does not need opium.
He has the gift of reverie.

~Anais Nin

For several days, I have been challenged by a throbbing pain.  I believe in the body, mind, and spirit connection, so safely placed my body in the hands of one of many respected energy worker friends.  She successfully manipulated my body, softly led me into a meditative state, and shared insights from her hands on work.  This experience was quite revealing which is why it is important to be with those you trust.

My body was able to relax on the table while it was being massaged.  Then it widely opened to the energy work at hand.  Guided back through several days, I was able to pin point what action was causing this pain.  Once I recognized the behavior that became the trigger, I was able to go back even farther to see earlier patterns of this behavior.

While visualizing, I saw the cells in my body all cramped and repressed.  I mentally began to separate them and cleanse them, allowing them to float freely.  In doing so, I was reminded of my bubble machine and how much I enjoyed watching bubbles float in the air.  It was easy for me to connect the cleansing of my cells with my love for floating bubbles.

For me, creative visualization or the gift of reverie, is very potent.  I am blessed to be able to see vibrant colors accompanied by what I will call 'knowings' or reflections.  I truly believe that our thoughts when ignored become lodged in our bodies.  When we disregard the beginning of discomfort and continue with our thoughts, the discomfort can stretch into pain, trying to get our attention.

Yes, in truth, I still have pain, but it is most definitely modified.  Once I was able to connect the pain with my action, I felt a release.  Now through contemplation, I can keep going back to root out and understand these actions that cause me pain.  I can also be aware daily to correct the thoughts that trigger this pain.

Energy workers shift our energy that has become blocked by actions, behaviors or trauma.  They balance the body so that the energy can flow in its natural state.  I once again feel peaceful and balanced.  I am deeply grateful for the loving kindness of my friend who so generously shares her gifts with me as well as others.  May the blessings be.

Be Little No More

Sitting quietly
Doing nothing
Spring comes
And the grass grows by itself

-Zen proverb

Yesterday, I was out of town eating lunch with a friend.  I excused myself to use the restroom.  Once in the privacy of the bathroom, I noticed a brochure propped up by the sink.  There was quite a bit of writing on the front cover, but somehow the main words jumped out at me. In bold letters it said:

God is Large!
You are little.

There was a time in my life that I would have agreed with what was being inferred.  Not today, however, nor any other day.

God/Spirit/Universe, whatever word is used to describe the Deity of all things, resides within all peoples.  With God dwelling within, all humans are powerful and extraordinarily creative.

We are limited only by our own small thinking and self-imposed limitations.  God encourages the discovery of our true worth.  God does not wish us to think of ourselves as being small.  We are expected to be filled largely with love, kindness, and compassion.

We are all free to embrace personal faith, to trust where we are lead, and to discern truth within words.  Through our intimate experiences, we gather meaning in life.

When I have embraced God in all aspects of my life, and listened to the voice whispering in my heart, my life has unfolded almost magically.   On the other hand, when I have followed my ego with lesser integrity, the results have been quite mediocre.

Life is filled with challenge and lesson and no one is spared.  When difficult things occur, it is not because we are being punished ... it is just life ... and frequently provoked by man and not God.

God loves all of us.  God desires us to use all of our gifts and talents to empower ourselves and others.  God knows no limitations and has endless creativity for us to use and depend upon.

How can any living thing be filled with God and not be magnificent!  We are anything but small unless we allow someone or something to overpower us.

If we look closely, we will discover God sprouting in all things Spring.   Sit quietly, do nothing, and watch the grass magically grow.  Breathe in all of life and feel little no more!

Screaming on the Inside ...

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

We each have an obligation to speak our truth, clearly and accurately. We have been given a voice for this specific reason,to express ourselves at every level of being human.

It is interesting to me that the throat is situated between our heart and our head, a perfect location to blend emotions with thoughts and to connect with the Divine. When we do not use our voice, we are not allowing our energy to flow nor are we honoring our inner self. We become repressed on many levels.

Little thought is given to the possible damage to our throat and voice through the careless use of alcohol, drugs, and unhealthy foods. Keeping silent is just as damaging as screaming and yelling. Consider how we physically feel while driving in our car, singing along with the radio. Now allow the feelings occurring after we have been yelling or screaming. It is not very difficult to figure out which is the healthy action.

As children, perhaps we were told, "Children were to be seen and not heard." Maybe we were taught early that we did not have worth, so we remained silent and adapted to the idea that we had nothing worthy of saying.

If we had elders in the home, we may have been blessed with storytellers or kind souls willing to listen to our words. We may have gained not only respect but the freedom of articulation and an openness to hear our inner voice. Otherwise, we become a silent child ... well, silent on the outside and screaming on the inside.

Our ability to articulate impacts the amount of energy in our bodies. Again, we find the body, mind, and spirit connection. All three work together and by doing so supplies energy to the highest capacity.

By allowing Divine to contribute to our thoughts and emotions, articulation lifts us to a stronger sense of all things being related. We feel a force that all humans have as well as every living thing in nature. Energy or force can also be felt and registered in rocks, earth, or other materials we do not normally consider to be alive.
Think of the forces found in water or air or fire.

Once we allow ourselves to be changed by the strength found in speaking our truth fully, we find a new sense of vitality, beauty, and passion for life. We feel totally connected to the positive forces in life and embrace others with compassion. By being true to our selves, we encourage others to do the same. Our new found energy can be felt by others and the like~hearted will be drawn to us.

Try to create a few affirmations.

"Words of integrity flow from my heart"

"Truth brings calm and energy"

"Communication with Spirit inspires"

"I love and respect all parts of my self"
