Silence In The Heart

"It takes a sensitive ear to tune into the silence of the heart,
but it is there in each one of us."
Daily Om

We tend to identify our selves by association to our family, career, and community, all over shadowing our inner true nature. It is only when we identify with our heart center that we can feel secure in any given relationship or situation. Listening to the silence lingering in our heart, messages flourish.

As we relax into our true nature, the silence within offers a communication connecting us to alignment. Once comfortable just 'being', we move forward with authentic power. Respecting the self, we are no longer drawn into unnecessary drama. Our building energy is the fuel for the soul.

Less time is wasted on roads we no longer wish to travel. Each step has meaningful movement towards authentic goals supporting our purpose. Time is given to honing our skills rather than wandering aimlessly. Through right action, our hearts are cleansed and healed allowing us to follow our intended path.

Walk Forward With Beauty and Grace

"Try to enjoy the age you are at now, for each age
presents its own unique wisdom to savor."
Daily Om

When following a recipe, you follow steps for adding ingredients aiming for a delicious result. As an artist, you apply layers of paint, building depth and vision. A gardener, lovingly applies care to produce a delicious or fragrant result. Life offers the same process of stepping through layers with loving application, intending for you to have heightened experiences.

The cook has dishes to clean up, the painter has dirty brushes, and the gardener has filthy hands. The movement towards any completion offers both positive and negative experiences. The integration between joy and sorrow carves your character and view of life. Wisdom is gained at every stage, and your ability to incorporate it into living practices, determines your enhanced outcome.

At each stage of life, curiosity, discovery, and renewal presents. Whether moving through joy or sorrow, you have the opportunity to apply a learned lesson. Gazing back, patterns surface and reminders of courage and resilience strengthen the present. Recall the past and ponder the future, but stay in the present moment to savor all that it has to offer. Walk slowly forward with beauty and grace.

Which Table Feeds Your Soul?

"Though the decisions we must make are often difficult,
we grow more self-sufficient and secure each time
we trust ourselves enough to choose."
Daily Om

Which table do you sit at when you feed your soul? There is one over there that feeds the egos of others, and then another that is totally hidden in the dark shade. There is also one right in the sun where you would be most apt to burn with high exposure.

Clean your table. Put a fresh linen cloth on it while adding a candle and a flower. Gather healthy ingredients aligning with your hunger. Do not invite others to sit at your table, until you feel well fed.

Once full, select certain loved ones to pull up a chair. Share wine and laughter, strengthening bonds of empowerment. Accepting responsibility for your decisions, outcomes will be beneficial. Freedom comes without the interference of others.

Grab A Fistful ...

"We may have stopped trying to carve out that
time to take a seat at the center of our lives."
Daily Om

The inner voice we hear when we become still, can make us uncomfortable, especially if we are not holding ourselves accountable.  If we are pushing forward without regard to what is best for the self, we fall further behind in our personal growth.

When we are not living in each moment aligned with our desires, we may not want a reminder of just how far off course we may be.  We may close our ears during individual moments of guidance that would otherwise lead us to higher ground.

If we would simply grab a fistful of moments to hear our inner voice, we could be directed  to pathways once charted in our dreams.   Brief interludes with how we once intended our presence to be felt, allow us to reenter passageways leading directly from the heart.
