Passing Moment

"Reach out and help others.  If you have the power to make someone happy,
do it.  Be a vessel, be a change, be the difference or be the inspiration.
Shine our light as an example.  The world needs more of that."
Germany Kent

If we should happen to discover a part of our lovely selves we really do not like, we have the power to change it.  The first step is just being aware of the behavior or pattern running through relationships.  Be curious as to how long this action has been impacting our natural responses.  What event triggered this need or who whom did we learn it from?

Our behaviors are so automatic, we often are not aware of the bashing we give ourselves or the criticisms we extend to others.  Just a stream of unwanted words that damage our own esteem and break the hearts of others.

Be accountable for how our actions and our conversations.  During gatherings, be respectful to all people.  If we are stuck in a conversation with a person with a different belief system, try to determine at least one aspect one could accept .... like pretty eyes or straight teeth.  Seriously, this is better than being rude!  Our judgment is a reflection upon ourselves.  Be nice, even for just a passing moment.

Until the Day is Done

"It's a funny thing about life, once you begin to take note of the things
you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack."
Germany Kent

Temperature dropping from 33 degrees down to the teens mid day with nothing but high winds and dark gloom.  Without natural light I tend to waver which impacts my creativity, productivity, and outlook on life.  So I decide to light a candle.

After lighting one candle, I decide to light a candle for each thing I am grateful for ... except I run out of tea lights.  I gather the small lit candles together and feel the radiance from the flicker of the wick.  I imagine the flame is like a warming fire.

It suddenly registers with me that all days are not meant for creativity and productivity.  Some gloomy days are meant for nurturing and restoration.  So I gather my favorite quilt, current book, and journal to hibernate until the day is done.

One World, One Nation

"Embrace who you are and your divine purpose. Identify
the barriers in your life, and develop discipline, courage
and the strength to permanently move beyond them, and
keep moving forward."
Germany Kent

As we allow our light to shine inward, we begin to realize there are numerous parts to ourselves as well as shadows and barriers.  When we embrace the concept of being multi-sided like a crystal, our core swells with energy.

The more light we bring to our hidden parts, the stronger our light becomes.  We gain courage and willingness to accept and embrace all shards of glass previously fallen into dark crevices.  We learn to acknowledge we are capable of achieving many things and the goal is to bring forth the best of all parts.

When we truly see our core, accepting human error and unmastered challenges, the world opens up to us and we begin to see the dynamics of all people, places, and things.  When our light shines on the existing world, we experience a connectedness and attract experiences to enhance our sense of one world, one nation.
